EYE TRACKING RESEARCH [UPCOMING RESEARCH]

Early on in my master's in architecture, I began to research the nature of human vision and its role with the architectural discourse. This was ultimately prompted by the desire to better quantify the human experience within architectural space and later led to a more analytical perspective of architectural narrative. This resulted in the development of a suite of scripts and toolkits for the use and control of eye-tracking data in 3D space, conducted using a bespoke DIY eye-tracking headset.

The headset itself has gone through several development iterations, with the software implementation developed within the open-source PupilLabs framework. This software was then extended to operate within Grasshopper for Rhino for a more succinct incorporation of the realtime data for study.

Currently in the works are plans to extend to the eye-tracking and it's architectural integration to an AR and VR environment for further research into the nature of perception in 3D spatial environments.
